Jamorama is an "e-course", meaning it is all online. The plus side to this is that you can get the courseimmediantly after purchasing. These e-courses are popular because they are cheaper to produce, but normally this leads to them being low quality. Jamorama, is not low quality, and is recommended for those who are on a budget. You will need to do practice sessions in front of a computer, so if this bothers you, then this course may not be a good idea.
Quantity: A lot of material is provided, there is no doubt about that. You recieve two ebooks, the first being for beginners to guitar and the second for advanced. Also included are video clips, tracks to play along with, and tons of lines of tab. This is the second best course we found compared to Learn and Master Guitar, and is recommended, but not the best.
Quality: Music theory is not a strong point of Jamorama. This mainly teaches tab, and focuses on getting you playing things quickly, without having a real understanding of the chords, or how to read actual music. This product will teach you how to play basic songs very quickly, so if you do not care about the theory of the music, or how to invent your own songs with advanced chords, Jamorama will work. You can play the majority of Rock songs with just a few chords now-a-days so it isnt a huge issue for people who are nitpicking. Our reviewers had to mark it down though, due to its lack of professionalism.
The quality of videos and audio was not amazing, and you could say, it was made on a tight budget. The e-Books are very helpful though.
Service: This company is based in New Zealand, and the response rate is slow. Ordering questions are the only questions they really answer. The level of support is not even close to that of Learn and Master Guitar.
Online Support: Not offered.
Negatives: Quality of video and audio is a downside. Also no support what-so-ever.
Bottom Line: This is the best alternative to Learn and Master Guitar, but it remains just that...and Alternative. If you don't mind playing in front of a computer, and can get over the bad video,audio quality, then you can give this one a shot. It will save you some cash, but your level of understanding will be effected.
